Return to the Zone in S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Wormwood, a high-difficulty survival-oriented realism modification for GSC Game World’s S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Call of Pripyat.

Wormwood builds upon the core Stalker experience, enriching the latest in the cult game series with brand new survival mechanics, intense and realistic gunplay, new missions, levels, fleshed-out building interiors and much, much more.

The mod was voted into the Top 100 of ModDB's Mod of the Year in both 2014 and 2015, in the 'Upcoming' category.

The talented developers behind Wormwood are a passionate, international team of long time S.T.A.L.K.E.R. fans, seeking to craft the perfect immersive survival experience. From design, to art, to programming, the number one priority is the creation of high quality content, and interesting design.

Beacon has been fascinated with Chernobyl for a long time, and has been modding S.T.A.L.K.E.R. since early 2010 - creator of Call of Pripyat: Redux, his goal is to bring interesting survival gameplay to others, as it was brought to him.

He leads the Wormwood team from the UK, working on all aspects of the mod including modeling, scripting, writing and level design.
Outside of modding, he has a first-class Computer Science degree, loves long-distance running and is a British Army Reservist.

Beacon finally visited the real-life Chernobyl Exclusion Zone in 2013 - you can read about his experiences on his blog.


Etcetera is a budding young writer, level designer, artist, modder and sounding board with a deep interest in the ecology and sociology of the Exclusion Zone both real and fictional.

Based in the UK, he has been working on Redux and later Wormwood since 2011, providing advice and other more tangible contributions to the mod. In real life, he is currently studying biology.


ThunderFreak began modding S.T.A.L.K.E.R. quite early - his very first mod for ShoC was the Team SGPS1 mod. Other mod projects for the series include Invasion 1.3 and Invasion 2 - unfortunately Invasion 2 was never released, so he released its content as 'Project Invasion'.

Now, ThunderFreak’s modding work is focused on coding Wormwood’s exciting new script systems from Germany.
In real life he is an IT sys-admin, and has been coding games since the first home computer (Commodore VC20) came onto the market.


Rikimaru’s first experience of the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series was in February 2012, with Call of Pripyat - he quickly fell in love with the game’s universe and began to draw fan art. His art tended to be more on the comical side than serious, and he realised that if he wanted to get good, he needed to learn and practice.

Rikimaru joined the Redux development team as a voluntary helper in late 2013 when Beacon was looking for new 2D GUI artists.
He works closely with Etcetera and Beacon within the team on all kinds of 2D art, from UI for new systems to in-world graffiti.
Now, while also working on Wormwood, he's trying to survive the harsh life of University studying Electrical Engineering and Information Technology.


TacticalNuclearSchnitzel is a 3D generalist living in Bosnia, working on Wormwood as an environment artist.

His first contact with the world of 3D design and modding was making new weapons and textures for STALKER - more recently he has branched out into new areas, particularly tech art. Having worked on the mod several years ago and taking a break from STALKER modding, he has recently returned to the project.


0ktober is the Zone's old bard. As well as being curious about Chernobyl since childhood, he has also lived the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. way of life since the release of Build 1935 back in 2004. Blown away by the intense in-game atmosphere and exceptional gameplay, he became one of the Zone's old-timers over the years.

Hailing from Finland, 0ktober became part of the Wormwood team at the beginning of 2015 and is responsible for the mod's Original Soundtrack. As well as being a 'one man band', he is also a graphic designer and has completed anti-air / covert reconnaissance training in the Finnish Defence Forces.
